Snow gear = My new life...

So I head out to BYU-I in about two months. It's a very bittersweet moment. Leaving your home, friends, family, comforts, job, and everything else behind to start on a new journey. It's kinda scary, but also VERY exciting at the same time! I get to meet new people, live in a new state, and experience (well to me) very odd things.

One of the biggest things I am dreading is the snow and the cold. Out of my 18 years of living, I have been in the snow once! And that was like three years ago. Sure I'm going to be thrilled at seeing snow for like the first week and then after that, I'm going to hate it (well maybe...I'll let you know.) Living in Florida my whole life with hot, humid weather I am not used to the cold. In fact I hate it! I don't enjoy being cold. Ha. So we will see how my first semester goes as I am bundled up in my many layers. Those BYU students are going to be giving me funny looks after I take my fifth layer off in class. Haha.

So the last couple of days I have been researching snow jackets and boots. Usually online or in store shopping I am a pro for anything but this, snow gear is totally out of my comfort zone! I have to make sure it's warm enough, not too bulky, etc. And guess what I also learned this week...snow boots are very attractive   hideous!!! But my wise mother likes to tell me "Everyone is going to be wearing them, and you just wait they will soon become your new favorite shoes." Riiiggghhhhttt mom...

These are actually cute snow boots

Well I thought y'all would just like to know what's been on my mind and I have been doing this week. That and trying to decide what I want to major in. It's stressful I tell ya! If y'all have any suggestions on snow gear, help a sista out!

xoxo,
Megs
