So I was reading this blog the other day. And may I just say I love her! And she really is the best! I linked it down below and seriously check it out. You will not regret it or you will regret it when you don't look! She was blogging about a lot of stuff and had this little tangent...
"the pinterest disconnect: how come i'm always attracted to monochromatic outfits on pinterest, but then when i actually wear them i feel all drab? do we all pin things that actually have nothing to do with our real lives? do we pin what we wish we were? or do we pin what we really are??????" - Natalie (from the the blog Nathefatrat)
The think that got me was, "Do we all pin things that actually have nothing to do with our real lives? Do we pin what we wish we were? Or do we pin what we really are?"
So powerful you know?! So the next time you pin something think about this. I know when I pin I wish I had those clothes. Or I wish I had those shoes, or I think one day I wish my house will look like this, OR my wedding. But in reality I don't have those shoes or those clothes or the cute things in my house.
Pinterest is just my virtual "wanna-be self." Something that one day I wish I can have. But the really the things that will make me happy are the people inside the house and not the things I have.
Just ponder on that.
